Thank you so much to all the sponsors who gave toward camp! Camps are only possible because of your gifts at Easter and your monthly support. Your sponsored child had an amazing experience, and it wouldn’t be possible without you.

Though most camps at Children of the Nations are held in the summer, students in the University/Vocational Program in the Dominican Republic had their camp in the fall. And we are happy to report that it was a wonderful success, thanks to you!

This camp was a special retreat for students to focus on their relationships with God and each other.

Camp was not just a chance for students to strengthen their relationship with God, but also to strengthen their friendships with each other.

Students began the retreat with devotionals, prayer, and praise. They worshipped together and read from the Psalms.

Spiritual Care Coordinator Alexander Moreta led a Bible study on the story of the good Samaritan. Students discussed how to apply this story to their lives and practical ways they could live like Jesus asks us to.

Bible studies are an important part of the spiritual lives of the students at Children of the Nations. Thank you for providing these students with strong biblical teaching!

Staff also met with students who have not yet accepted Jesus as their savior. Staff taught the students about what it means to be a Christian and encouraged them to give their lives to Jesus.

Students received Hygiene SmilePacks to take back to school with them. These SmilePacks are full of supplies to help them stay clean and healthy!

Hygiene SmilePacks are full of soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other hygiene supplies that help children and students stay healthy—and they were assembled by wonderful people just like you!

Everyone gathered together to watch God’s Not Dead 3 and finished the retreat with a game of baseball. It was a fun and meaningful getaway for everyone who attended!

“We ended the event as family, friends, companions,” says Alexander Moreta, Children of the Nations–Dominican Republic’s spiritual care coordinator.

University camp was a special opportunity for students to strengthen their relationship with God. And it isn’t possible without the support of people like you. Thank you so much for investing in the lives of your sponsored students!
