Summer camp in Haiti was a little different this year.

Camp was originally scheduled for July. However, when the Haitian government proposed a hike in gas prices, people started rioting. The Venture team that was going to help our staff run
summer camp had to cancel their trip, and camp was postponed.

Our staff and children remained safe during the riots, and the situation has since calmed down. Thank you for praying for your sponsored child and their country during this
stressful time.

Summer camp was rescheduled for August, and our children had so much fun!

The camp theme was “serving God by helping others,” based on Hebrews 6:10: “For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name
in serving the saints, as you still do” (ESV).

Children played games, made crafts, and learned about how they can worship God by serving others. Staff organized a fun dance workout, and even a trip to the beach! Check it

A trip to the beach was a special treat for camp-goers this summer.

Our children even had a dance workout for some fun physical exercise!

Thank you, sponsors and Venture team members who gave toward camp! Because of you, camp still happened in Haiti.

We hope these photos give you a sense of how important this was to the children and how grateful they are. Thank you!
