
Ruth studied medicine at Queen's University Belfast, graduating in 2005. She completed her anesthesia training in Northern Ireland and qualified as a consultant anesthetist in 2014. She worked at Daisy Hill Hospital from 2014–2018 and has served at Antrim Area Hospital since 2018. Her special interests are pediatric anesthesia and teaching.
Her first involvement with COTN was a Venture Trip to Sierra Leone in 2009. She has supported the ministry since then and has served on the COTN UK & Ireland board since its founding in 2012, currently as Chair of the Board of Trustees.
She lives in the countryside outside Antrim, Northern Ireland, close to her family.
