Casa Bethesda is home to our Venture Teams who travel with Children of the Nations (COTN) to the Dominican Republic. Each year it houses around 350 participants who come to serve our ministry. In the past, Casa Bethesda has been rented out to private parties for weddings, birthday celebrations, and other events. To serve our growing ministry needs, we are expanding the Casa. Our goal is to have COTN teens and young adults interested in the hospitality industry complete an internship at Casa Bethesda, working events and gaining experience to build their resumes. This will open a door to obtaining jobs in the popular Dominican tourism industry.

The expansion is broken into 2 important phases:

  • Phase 1: Kitchen Renovation / Construction of Dining Hall (Cost: $61,054) – A new, industrial-sized kitchen will enable us to cook for our increasing number of guests, and provide great on-the-job training for COTN teens studying Tourism. A dining hall will provide a great location for our guests to eat, and will keep them out of the hot Dominican sun.
  • Phase 2: Additional Housing (Cost: TBD) – With the growing number of participants, we are finding a need for addition housing. This new building will provide comfortable living quarters for our participants who serve with us for longer periods of time.
