Community/Business Groups
Encourage your company or organization to impact the world through a local nonprofit organization: Children of the Nations. Through various opportunities that are easy and fun, you can create a group or work environment that encourages global giving on a local level. Here are a few ideas of how your company or community group can get involved in what COTN is doing for orphaned and destitute children:
- Host a "Lunch & Learn Event": Invite a COTN staff member to give your employees or club members a short presentation on who we are and what we do. We can cater the presentation to areas of our ministry that most interest your organization and give practical ways you can help and get involved.
- Set a workplace goal or challenge: Create camaraderie among employees or club participants by challenging them in one of COTN’s areas of ministry. You can work together to sponsor children, volunteer locally, collect donations, or develop an international project in a specific country.
- Sponsor a COTN event: Each year, our Washington offices host sponsorship drives, resource gathering or container loading events, meal packaging events and more. Your company or organization can get involved by sponsoring one of these events, donating items needed for each function, or by challenging employees or members to meet a company-wide goal. - Take a trip: Serve others together in Africa or the Dominican Republic with COTN. The experience will create team building and bonding among your employees or members like no company retreat ever could. Organize a Venture Team at your organization to begin working together to serve others.
