Dominican Republic
1995
Chris and Debbie Clark founded Children of the Nations (beginning ministry in Sierra Leone).
1997
COTN encountered Malou Faublas who was ministering to 67 children in the village of Algodon, holding classes in a dilapidated classroom with broken desks.
Village Partnership Program begins in Algodon, focusing on education and nutrition.
1998
Construction on our first school and feeding center in the Dominican Republic is completed in Algodon.
Our first Medical Venture Team performed operations in the Dominican Republic.
1999
A Venture Team visited the village of Los Robles and hosted a VBS program for the children; as a result, ministry began and a Village Partnership program was started.
2002
COTN begins Village Partnership Program in Don Bosco, enrolling 80 children.
2003
The first child from Algodon ever to graduate high school.
Construction of three primary classrooms and one small office in Don Bosco.
2005
Our first Medical/Dental Center opens in Barahona.
Venture Teams add three classrooms to our Don Bosco school
2006
Casa Bethesda, COTN’s Mission Center in the Dominican Republic is purchased.
COTN begins Village Partnership program in Altagracia.
2007
COTN begins Village Partnership program in Pueblo Nuevo.
