Anai-Okii Village Partnership Program In Uganda Begins!
POSTED ON Feb 09, 2010 / UPDATED ON Jan 27, 2011
Join us in rejoicing over the launch of Uganda’s Village Partnership Program! Children of the Nations (COTN) began its partnership with Anai-Okii—a small village ten minutes’ drive from our Lira Ministry Center in Lira, Uganda’s capital in January, 2010.
“Forty-four children have so far been registered into the program, and sixteen have been nominated to be added to the twenty-nine we already have in full-time care,” says COTN–Uganda Country Director James Okalo.
Our Village Partnership Program allows COTN to come alongside parents in the village, providing assistance with feeding, education, and medical care for their children. The program truly embodies COTN’s mission of “partnering with nationals to provide holistic, Christ-centered care.”
“We still hope to nominate more children to be considered for the VPP and full-time care,” says James.
Praise God for opening doors to allow us to care for more of His children, and please join us in prayer for new sponsors for these beautiful girls and boys.
COMING SOON: Online sponsorship for our Anai-Okii Village Partnership Program as well as online sponsorship for children new to our full-time care. In the meantime, for information on sponsoring a child in either of these programs, please contact our Sponsorship Dept. at 360-698-7227.
