Port-au-Prince, Haiti – An on-the-ground update from Chris and Debbie Clark, "We are currently in Haiti, heading toward Port-au-Prince.  We are in two vehicles with ten pastors from several Barahona churches.  The traffic here is almost at a standstill.  The devastation is incomprehensible.  There are so many crumbled houses and buildings along the streets here, even in suburbs. Some are just completely gone and almost dust.  It mostly depends on how they were built, as many buildings had bad rebar supports. The good thing is life is going on here. Small shops on the streets are open in the suburbs at least.  Yesterday, they took out 200 children's corpses from a collapsed school, but we just passed another school here in Port-au-Prince that is in session. Strange to see.  There are many UN vehicles.

[Later...] "We are in downtown in Port-au-Prince now. The destruction is unbelievabe. There are buildings that are just tipped over or completley crushed. Still so many workers with masks on digging through piles of concrete.   There are refugee camps set up all over town and lines and lines of people waiting for food or some kind of assistance.  We just saw a three-story school with the floors all collapsed and all the desks still visible inside."

[Stay tuned for more updates...]
