Miguel is described as a happy and obedient, young boy who likes to play with little toy cars. White is his favorite color and his favorite subject in school is art/coloring. When he grows up, Miguel hopes to become an engineer.

A typical meal for Miguel usually includes rice and beans. Miguel lives with his parents, along with 1 brother and 1 sister, in a palm wood house with a tin roof and cement floor. His father has only occasional work and his mother is a homemaker.
