Mission Centers

COTN operates Mission Centers in each country in which we exist. This central hub is located in the center of our ministry activity locations. Staff members use these centers for office space, guest group lodging, camping, as logistics/communication center, as a training facility, and in some cases as a medical site.

COUNTRY DETAILS

Njewa, Malawi
In Malawi, our center is located approximately five miles from the capital city of Lilongwe. Currently this center is home to a unique African village where visitors to Malawi and local guest groups are housed and trained to reach out to the estimated 1 million orphans. A duplex holds international missionaries. A recording studio is being erected now to produce children’s radio shows for African stations. Recently, two dorms were completed to house missionary interns. A cafeteria should be completed in 2008, which will enable groups to be trained and served.

Banta Mokelleh, Sierra Leone
In Sierra Leone, our mission center is located in Banta Mokelleh, approximately 100 miles from the capital city of Freetown. Daily, this center attracts a substantial population of children and adults from local villages. Currently, it serves the following functions: clinic, malnourishment specialty clinic, a temporary primary school, a feeding center, a skills center, staff housing, guest group housing, and an agriculture project which includes a farm and palm nursery. The Banta center was established in 2005 and will be fully functional with newly erected orphan homes, a primary school, and a secondary school in 2007.

Barahona, Dominican Republic
This unique city in the southwestern region of the Dominican Republic has three centers. One parcel holds our clinic/surgical center and national office complex; the second holds our skills center; and the third holds our retreat/short-term team facility. Ministry is launched from all three of these centers. Each center provides specialty care to guests and children.
