This event brings the entire community together to package meals for famine-stricken children around the world. Children of the Nations uses this special food to care for the daily nutritional needs of the children in their care. This "Meal Marathon" is a great group event with an incredible cause! We look forward to seeing you there!
Many volunteers are needed. The first step is to gather a group of family and friends who want to participate. Once this is done, visit our website to register your group. So get your church, workplace, neighborhood, or your civic group involved in feeding starving kids overseas!
At the food packaging event, you will participate “hands on” in the assembly-line process. Individual bags will be filled with four ingredients: Lentils, Spice, Chicken, and Rice. Participants will take turns scooping, weighing and sealing bags, and boxing packaged meals for shipment overseas.
Everything you need for packing food will be provided. Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended. We ask each person participating to bring a donation to help cover the costs of the ingredients, packaging supplies, and shipping. We will also be selling Meal Marathon T-shirts. Bring additional money if you'd like to purchase one.
