Raising Funds by Climbing Mountains

Jeff Sondermeyer (founder of BroMan Expeditions) has always had two passions: climbing mountains and encouraging, supporting, and helping those who cannot help themselves—namely children. In August 2002, Jeff combined these two passions by founding BroMan Expeditions. In 2006, Jeff and fellow climber Kevin Warren traveled to Malawi, Africa with Children of the Nations in an effort to experience our vision firsthand and to see if there was a specific area in which they might be able to partner with us.

BroMan is an acronym for Brothers Reaching Out Meeting a Need. Their mission is two-fold:

1) Through the inspirational setting of mountaineering, they aspire to capture the hearts and imagination of people and solicit sponsors for their climbs and

2) To raise awareness to the plight of children in Africa by aligning with and raising funds for their charity partners—well-established, respected children’s charities such as Children of the Nations

BroMan’s goal is to create a climbing community of brothers with like minds and hearts to help those who can not help themselves—children. By developing leaders to head up their own climbing expeditions, BroMan’s goal is that each team member will commit to a fundraising goal of $500 per climb. Monies are never used to offset the cost of climbs or services. 100% of all funds go directly to their charity partners.
