Dominican Republic

Children of the Nations constructed, funds, and operates all of our preschools, primary schools, our Challenge Children’s Program and our vocational skills center in the Dominican Republic; some of the teachers in our school are subsidized by the government.  For our secondary school–aged students, COTN provides for our students’ school fees to attend the public schools.  Our University Student Program provides for tuition, books, room and board at the local community college, universities, and medical schools.

Sierra Leone

Children of the Nations constructed, funds, and operates Mallory Jansen Memorial School (Banta) and Mallory Jansen Memorial School (Marjay Town) (offering preschool, primary, and junior-secondary education) and our William E. Clark Vocational Skills Center in Sierra Leone.  For our senior-secondary school students, COTN provides funding for tuition, room and board for the students to attend boarding school.  Our University Student Program provides for tuition, books, room and board.

Children of the Nations does not currently construct or operate schools in Malawi, but rather partners with private and public schools to provide primary and secondary education for our children by providing funding to cover school fees, supplies, and uniforms.  Our University Student Program provides for tuition, room and board through African Bible College, a COTN partner, as well as other colleges throughout the country.

Uganda

Children of the Nations does not currently operate schools in Uganda, but rather partners with private and public schools to provide education for our children by providing funding to cover school fees, supplies, and uniforms.  (NOTE: Construction of our Uganda Children’s Village is currently underway.  Plans include a COTN school building, which is scheduled to open Fall 2009.)
