Challenge Children's Program

Overview

In the developing countries, there are serious challenges to inclusive education (the philosophy of including all children, including those with special needs, in mainstream schools and classrooms).  Children of the Nations believes that children who face challenges in learning—be they physical, academic, or emotional—should not be excluded from the schools, as is a common practice in developing countries, since many schools do not have the facilities or training to meet the needs of special needs students (those students we refer to as our “Challenge Children”).   Our Challenge Children Program works to identify, assess and modify curriculum in such a way that all children are included in the COTN educational programming.
