God has different plans…

When I moved to Florida in 2008 I was planning to stay just a few years.  I was sure I would move back “home” after gaining some experience as a Child Life Specialist.  Little did I know that God had other plans — better plans!

Since my first Venture Trip to Sierra Leone with COTN in 2010, my life has changed!  My eyes were opened to new cultures, God’s provision, and His amazing creation.  I fell in love with the people I met.  It was through those relationships that I became deeply aware of the responsibility I have to serve the orphans and widows.  Following my trip, I began volunteering with COTN in Central Florida - it was a tangible way that I could serve those I met the previous summer.  This past July, I was able to return to Sierra Leone with a team from my church.  I was able to see COTN’s mission in action —those I met the previous year were growing mentally and physically, they were learning about Jesus and they had the freedom to be children!

As I returned from my second trip with COTN, I knew that God was asking me to do more.  This change has come through the opportunity to join COTN’s staff as a Community Coordinator working out of the Florida Office.  I will be communicating and interacting with local churches, community groups & individuals who are interested in learning more and/or partnering with COTN to help further this ministry!  So, my “plan” of moving back home has changed and I’m excited to begin this new adventure!  Will you join me?

Will you consider become a monthly partner with COTN so that I can become part of this staff?  By partnering financially with COTN, you will be part of this ministry with me — connecting people with the work God is doing in Africa and the Caribbean.  Please consider joining me on a monthly basis in this beautiful effort.
