Teen Home

a component of the Mtsiliza Village Partnership Program

The Children of the Nations (COTN) Teen Girls and Boys Homes opened in 2006 for Village Partnership Program teens who did not have a safe place to stay.  With ten beds and a loving house parent in each home, these homes are run like the rest of COTN’s children's homes, with an emphasis on holistic care and a family-like atmosphere.  The teens participate in daily devotions, share chores and cooking, study together, and support one another as siblings.

As in traditional homes, when children are away for secondary school or university, their bed is reserved for their return on holidays, and support is given to graduates as they enter the job market and begin to provide for themselves.  In this way, COTN provides a foundation of support that makes it possible for each teen to succeed.

In 2010, due to safety concerns, COTN–Malawi transfered our Girls Teen Home to Chiwengo Village.
