Most of the orphans coming into our homes have never slept on a mattress, let alone had their own bed. A mattress not only provides comfort but also insulates from the cold and gives our children a sense of belonging, knowing they have their own space and are being well cared for. Your gift will be a tremendous blessing to a child who is used to lying on the bare dirt or on a grass mat. Imagine the smile on a child’s face and the joy in their squeals of glee the first time they realize that is where they will get to sleep!
New Pair of Shoes for an Orphan
Putting on shoes for the first time can be painful when your feet are not used to the binding of leather and laces…but you would never know it looking into the faces of children so excited to have a pair of shoes of their very own. Your gift will provide a new pair of shoes for an orphan.
Orphaned Children’s Home Rent (1 month)
Families of orphaned children that lost their parents during conflict are being taken in and cared for. Renting a home provides these children with a safe place to stay where new COTN parents can care for and raise them in a Christ-centered environment. Your gift will provide housing for 10 children.
