Flooding at our Algodon school

Restore Algodon School

$1,200.00

Tropical Storm Noel wiped out all bridges and roads from Barahona to Santo Domingo (the capital city) and also wreaked havoc on our primary school in Algodon. Our school was submerged almost up to the rafters. Floodwaters destroyed most of our materials, desks, chalk boards, cabinets, and teaching supplies. A bypass road, allowing us to get supplies to the villages that were hit the hardest, is now open. Your special gift will help restore the school our children so desperately need for a quality education!

Computers at DR Skills Center

Two Computers

$850.00

Technology has become the catalyst for rapid development both in the US and abroad. Computers are needed in our schools and for our staff to communicate and manage the efforts of ministering to almost 2,000 children. Students will benefit by learning computer navigation and program use. Your gift will also be a tremendous blessing to our national staff that faithfully and sacrificially serve our children whether by providing a laptop for field work or a desktop computer for those keeping track of logistics and the many needs of our sponsored children.

Children receiving new outfits

New Outfits for Two Children

$24.00

Have you ever worn your clothes two days in a row? How about for a week or a month? Tropical Storm Noel stole away the homes and belongings of many families already living in poverty. Your gift of clothing will bring not just a smile, but dignity back to our children. Wrap your arms around them with a new outfit and share with them the love they so desperately need!

Three Mosquito Nets for Noel Storm Victims

$17.00

Malaria and Dengue Fever are two of the most life-threatening diseases in the Dominican Republic. Stagnant, standing water left behind by Storm Noel has created the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes that carry and spread these dangerous viruses. The gift of a mosquito net will give our children the opportunity to have a sound night’s sleep without the fear of waking up infected by one of these killer viruses!
