Biography

Akimu lives with his Mother, one brother and two sisters in the village of Chilombo. Akimu’s parents separated in 2004 and his father’s whereabouts are unknown. Akimu is living in very poor conditions and lacks sufficient food, clothing and other basic needs.

Akimu is described as a quiet, generous and honest boy. He likes to play tag and soccer with his friends. Akimu’s favorite color is brown and he enjoys school where his favorite subject is math. When he grows up, Akimu hopes to be a teacher. Akimu helps his family by cleaning, washing the dishes and carrying water to the home.
