Venture Team Leaders

Children of the Nations partners with leaders and their teams to take them to one of the countries COTN serves. COTN currently sends out teams to the Dominican Republic, Malawi, Sierra Leone, and Uganda.

Our goal is to make your role as a Venture Team Leader an opportunity for spiritual growth. Facilitating that goal involves making the administration process as straightforward as possible. Below is a link to a brief, chronological summary of the short-term team administrative process, providing information on applications, training manuals, finances, ministry projects, correspondence, etc.

What will my Venture team do?
Children of the Nations will unite with you to select the ministry project best suited for your or your group’s skills, resources, and time line.

Training
You will be thoroughly prepared with a comprehensive manual covering ideas for fundraising, leading a team, and being a part of a team, as well as preparedness for cross-cultural encounters, spiritual life on the field, ministry readiness and country specific resources.

Ministry
Once in your country, you will personally bring the love and hope of Christ to children and families in need. You will learn a variety of ministry approaches that will allow you to practically help and present the gospel to the little ones you contact.

Debriefing
Before returning home you will be given the opportunity to mentally and spiritually process the radical impact this trip has made on your life. Follow-up material will assist you in taking what you have learned and integrating it into your life, wherever you are.

What’s Next?
After you return to life as normal, begin thinking about how God will use your experience overseas and where he is leading you on your personal mission of living in obedience to His call on your life.
