Venture Teams make up Children of the Nations’ personal missions department. As you consider God’s mission for your life, we want to invite you join one of our Venture Teams. During your trip overseas, you will encounter children who have lived in poverty and spiritual darkness. You will meet the Children of the Nations’ national staff, and ultimately your life will be touched by these kids and their personal love of Jesus Christ. Consider your trip as the beginning of exploring where God will lead you!
Begin your personal mission and join a Venture Team!
There are two ways to participate in a Venture Team:
1. You can become a Venture Team Leader by pulling together a team of people from your church and/or community and lead the team to one of the countries COTN serves (Dominican Republic, Malawi, Sierra Leone, or Uganda).
2. You can join a COTN Venture Team as an individual team member on a scheduled trip with an existing team. COTN will connect you with a Team Leader who will consider your application and help you prepare for this trip. As a Venture Team member, you are responsible for interfacing with your Team Leader to receive training material and schedules of team meetings.
Each year, COTN has 5 different types of Venture Team trips:
Vision
Investigate our ministry, ask the tough questions and see if COTN is a good fit for your church or organization.
Education
Join a team of veteran teachers from the States to help in our schools in teacher training and assistance.
Medical
Doctors, dentists, nurses and support staff join our local medical community as they help provide life-changing medical care.
Construction
Grab a shovel and some gloves as you work side-by-side with other team members building a home, erecting a fence, or painting one of our buildings.
Proclaim / Evangelism
Share the love of Christ through an evangelistic ministry, soccer tournaments, and baseball games, or dream up a way to share Christ to people who need to know the about the free gift of salvation!
